Mini Circle Weavings – Creating with Cardboard

Mini Circle Weavings: Design a woven textile with a simple cardboard loom! Gather your materials and save your cardboard (and sanity): Here is a creative way to transform this commonplace material into something beautiful. Start by making a loom. Cut a circle about 5" in diameter from a piece of cardboard. Draw an odd number of marks spaced about 1" apart (no need to be exact) around the edge of the circle. Cut a notch into each mark.

That's a Wrap! Goodbye Summer!

Our Summer Program looked SO different this year with strict safety protocols, socially distanced learning, and lots (and lots) of cleaning. With fall classes upon us, we are looking back on the Minni Summer Program and our campers with awe and admiration. New Textile Collection by Minni’s Founder

Year-round Programming for Ages 1.5–10!

Classes at Minni are designed with current health and safety protocols in mind, utilizing our outdoor patio space (weather permitting) and limiting each session to eight students. Ages 1.5–3 will be limited to four students and four caregivers.

Outdoor Installation at Minni

Color Stitch - Dash connects five storefronts with a rainbow of colors and repetitious pattern, signifying unity, strength and forward movement while businesses were closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The storefronts appear to be stitched together by a moving band of tape, a simple material used to fix and connect. This colorful work of art was made with small pieces of MT washi tape and influenced by her 25-foot watercolor landscape "Color Stitch - Break."
