Constellation Collage

With the arrival of fall and earlier sunsets, it’s a great time to look up at the sky and search for stars and constellations. A constellation is an imaginary picture made by connecting the stars in the sky, like connect-the-dots!

Materials for Constellation Collage

  •  Black paper

  •  Metallic or white markers or crayons

  • Metallic or white paper

  •  Ruler or straight edge

  •  Pencil

  • Scissors

  •  Glue stick

  • Glitter or glitter glue (optional)

Let’s get started!

Steps for Constellation Collage

1. Use markers or crayons to fill the black paper with dots. This will be the star-filled night sky.

2. Look closely to see if you can spot an imaginary picture in the sky, or the first letter in your name!

3.  Use a ruler or straight edge to connect the dots that make your picture. This will be your constellation!
