Make soap under the supervision of a real scientist! Soap is the ultimate STEM and creative activity, and melt and pour bases are fun and easy to use. Attending this workshop means your student will get to make their own soaps, complete with add-ins like color, fragrance, and objects while working under the supervision of a real scientist! We will demonstrate how to make their soaps, some design ideas, and more! Students are given a bag to bring their molded soaps home too.
About the Artist
Juliana walks the line between science and art. On the nights and weekends, you can find her running her skincare company Amherst Soaps, while her days are spent teaching middle school science! She loves the energy young kids bring to the arts and sciences, considers herself a kid at heart, and feels the best way to open eyes to the world is to be involved in things! She’s dedicated to making artisan skin care goods that are not only fun to make but feel good to use.
