In Minni Family Workshop – Music Makers little musicians and their caregivers will learn how to create all the sounds of music with repurposed and recycled materials found right in the studio. A Minni instructor will guide students through a series of engaging projects focused on tunes + tones, including drumming canvas paintings to the beat, coloring with jingle bells and creating their own shakers.
Artists ages 8 to 12 are invited to Minni to explore a super fun monoprinting method! A Minni instructor will inspire students to explore texture, layering, and fabulous color combinations as they learn the process of gelatin printmaking. Join us to print your own one-of-a-kind artwork!
In our Minni Family Workshop - Happy Hearts little artists and caregivers will be whisked away by playful projects and sensory stations inspired by Valentine’s Day. A Minni instructor will guide participants through a series of sweet activities, including collaborative heart prints, collaged cards and a special book reading. In Minni Gift Workshop, an instructor will guide little gift givers on a mission to make unique handmade gifts for loved ones this holiday season. The workshop will wrap (pun intended) as artists craft their own decorative gift bags and wrapping paper!
Join us for a cozy creative adventure in our Snowy Shelters Workshop! Designed for tweens ages 8 to 12, this fun-filled workshop invites participants to craft their own winter wonderland. Participants will explore the wonders of nature as they use a variety of mixed media to create their own snowy scenes. From model magic snowmen, to glittery snowflakes, and miniature cozy cabins, the sky’s the limit in this seasonal snowy shelter workshop. Kids and families will decorate cardboard buildings with donated materials from actual design projects. Kids can add their building to a growing city or take their piece home with them! Coloring sheets are always available so kids of all ages can participate in the making.

Calling all little designers! Minni and MIT MAD, invite you and your little artist(s) to join our FREE design workshop at the Cambridge Science Fair! Little designers (K–2) will be taken through the entire design process to create and model their very own sci-fi themed fashion wearable. From mood boards to styling, participants will explore colors and materials to assemble imaginative futuristic fashion.
Did someone say sharpies?! Artists ages 8 to 12 are invited to Minni to draw and design on canvas materials with fabric markers, and everyone’s favorite permanent marker! A Minni instructor will inspire students to explore surface design by looking at patterns, graffiti, and artists from the Pop Art movent such as Basquiat and Keith Haring. In this special family workshop participants will gather to make the most colorful compositions and paint their very own playsilks provided by Sarah's Silks. What are Playsilks? Playsilks are open-ended toys for a creative childhood. An opened-ended toy has multiple uses, encouraging children to imagine, create, and problem solve without limitations are just a few of them. Grab your loved ones and make your own playful playsilk masterpiece! Each registered child will take home one Sarah's Silks playsilk.
In collaboration with local artist Alex Adamo also known as known as AlexMakesArt, artists of all ages can come together to participate in our community weaving project! Alex and the Minni team will provide gentle guidance on how to contribute to our large-scale community weaving using all types of up-cycled materials. Participants will also have the chance to work on their own personal weaving project to take home! Join us for a Sunday of creative fun, no weaving experience necessary!

In this special Community Drop-In participants will first visit Anderson Yezerski Gallery (460 Harrison Ave., A16, open from 11am–1pm) to view Choudhary's playful portraits before heading to the Minni South End studio to take inspiration and create their own imaginary portraits using recycled materials!
Our Minni Family Workshop - Sandy Sculptures workshop will bring the beach to the studio as students explore all the textures of the ocean. A Minni instructor will guide students through the process of sticking and smooshing together sandy, textured towers. Playful activities on the side will include shell fossil making and a sensory station. Join us for a creative beach day!
