Spend the day with the ones you love and learn how to create an everlasting flower bouquet with our Minni Family Workshop - Mother's Day Edition! A Minni instructor will guide families through the process of creating, painting, and gluing their own small bouquet of gorgeous up-cycled flowers using egg cartons!
Minni is excited to be once again participating in this year's Duckling Day celebrations! Hosted by The Friends of the Public Garden, in association with the City of Boston Parks and Recreation Department, Duckling Day is a beloved tradition of more than 30 years, celebrating the classic children's book, "Make Way for Ducklings" by Robert McCloskey.
Creativity will bloom at our next Minni Tween Workshop! An instructor will guide students through the process of folding and bunching of colorful flowers using a variety of techniques and colored crepe tissue paper. Students will learn how to craft bright paper blooms, adding contrasting petals and colors along the way. We will bring the outdoors in as program participants make mini flower gardens of their own.
Join us for Minni’s Student Art Showcase to celebrate the end of the school year and all the fantastic art that students have crafted this semester! Open to family and friends, Minni’s Beacon Hill studio will be open for the showcase during our Community Drop-In over the weekend.
Make something scrumptious and full of color for the fun-loving father figure in your life! Little artists and their caregivers are invited to design and decorate a sweet treat using recycled materials. A Minni instructor will guide families through the process of painting, sticking and gluing their very own donut. Make Dad’s day and make some decorative donuts together!
In Minni Family Workshop – Summer Shades participants will celebrate summer in our sunny studio with the brightest of warm colors. A Minni instructor will guide students through a variety of projects focused on play and warm shades, including balloon prints, sticky collaborative collages, and giant sun paintings. Our Minni Family Workshop - Sandy Sculptures workshop will bring the beach to the studio as students explore all the textures of the ocean. A Minni instructor will guide students through the process of sticking and smooshing together sandy, textured towers. Minni Family Workshop – Tonal Tides invites little artists and their caregivers to dive into the magic of the ocean through texture, tone, and hands-on play. Guided by a Minni instructor, families will bring shimmering tide pools to life with drips of blue-tinted glue and layers of sand and shells. In our Minni Family Workshop – Mixing Rainbows workshop, color-loving kiddos will work on identifying all the colors of the rainbow, and then turn to creating bright rainbows of their very own. A Minni instructor will guide the group through a variety of vibrant activities including the mixing and matching of a host of hues, fun with fluffy rainbow cloud dough, and the ultimate production of fuzzy rainbow sculptures!
Ooey gooey fun is a goopy guarantee in this slippery slime session! Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with gooey green concoctions as a range of ingredients are offered up to students to make the most of three different slimey recipes. Participants will explore a variety of artistic techniques, including brushwork, stenciling, and tape resist techniques, using a colorful array of fabric paints and crafty embellishments. Roll on down to Minni for a Family Workshop all about things that go! Little engineers and caregivers will design their very own cityscapes and roadways using a variety of 2D and 3D art materials. Students will spend time painting colorful wooden cars to bring their streets to life, and explore all the ways to make art through movement - including painting with cars, train collages, and more!
Ages 4–10 “Stick” the kids with us at Minni WashiShop - Valentine’s Edition, a most cheerful and colorful collaboration with renowned Japanese brand MT Washi Tape. We'll explore a suite of sticky properties as little designers ages 4–10 use a veritable rainbow of washi pieces to create unique Valentine’s cards for special loved ones, friends and even classmates!
Artists ages 8 to 12 are invited to Minni to explore a super fun monoprinting method! A Minni instructor will inspire students to explore texture, layering, and fabulous color combinations as they learn the process of gelatin printmaking. Join us to print your own one-of-a-kind artwork!

In collaboration with local mosaic tile company Artaic, artists ages 4–10 will take upcycling to the next level in this fun mosaic coasters workshop! Using post-industrial / pre-consumer remnant material, a Minni instructor will guide students through the process of decorating their own drink coasters. Students will work with porcelain and glass mosaic tiles to create something special for themselves, or to gift to someone else!
Take your little one to the moon and back in Minni Family Workshop – Night Lights, a workshop all about starry winter skies and glistening reflections.
A Minni instructor will begin with a reading of Papa, Please Get the Moon For Me by Eric Carle before guiding star gazers through a series of sensory activities inspired by everything shiny and bright, from painting mini moons to collaging original constellations. Dive into the vibrant world of mixed media collage and visual storytelling! Tweens are invited to learn the artistic process of using shapes, patterns, and images to plan dynamic compositions, and explore how to translate New Year’s aspirations into a compelling visual narrative.
Join us for a festive workshop where little makers ages 4–10 will craft personalized ornamental frames, colorful characters on wooden spoons, and special handmade lanterns to share with lucky loved ones or proudly display at home. In Minni Gift Workshop, an instructor will guide little gift givers on a mission to make unique handmade gifts for loved ones this holiday season. The workshop will wrap (pun intended) as artists craft their own decorative gift bags and wrapping paper!
In Minni Family Workshop – Winter Winds & Wands, students and caregivers will craft and create projects inspired by first snowfalls and Ezra Jack Keat’s renowned book "The Snowy Day."
