Take your little one to the moon and back in Minni Family Workshop – Night Lights, a workshop all about starry winter skies and glistening reflections. A Minni instructor will begin with a reading of Papa, Please Get the Moon For Me by Eric Carle before guiding star gazers through a series of sensory activities.

Minni Community Drop-Ins are designed for the entire family to enjoy creative play and messy materials in our spacious studio. Rotating themed projects focus on open-ended play, material exploration, and a variety of art processes.

Join us for a festive workshop where little makers ages 4–10 will craft personalized ornamental frames, colorful characters on wooden spoons, and special handmade lanterns to share with lucky loved ones or proudly display at home. In Minni Gift Workshop, an instructor will guide little gift givers on a mission to make unique handmade gifts for loved ones this holiday season. The workshop will wrap (pun intended) as artists craft their own decorative gift bags and wrapping paper!

Join us for a cozy creative adventure in our Snowy Shelters Workshop! Designed for tweens ages 8 to 12, this fun-filled workshop invites participants to craft their own winter wonderland. Participants will explore the wonders of nature as they use a variety of mixed media to create their own snowy scenes. From model magic snowmen, to glittery snowflakes, and miniature cozy cabins, the sky’s the limit in this seasonal snowy shelter workshop. Join us for an evening of fun and cozy crafting, and of course, pizza!

Families will be guided through the making of colorful patterns with soft felt shapes, fabric glue and simple stitching techniques to make cozy quilts, perfect for snuggling up with a favorite stuffy and a cup of hot cocoa! This is a FREE event funded by the City of Boston Nightlife Economy Department’s grant program.

Students will make the most of three different slimy interpretations of everything Halloween, beginning with fluffy pumpkin slime and concluding with a bubbly witches brew. Let your little one unleash their inner scientist; we’ll take care of the mess as students enjoy the rest.

Join us for a spooky take on architecture in this Minni workshop! Students will use an exciting medley of recycled and craft materials to design their own facades complete with towering turrets and ghastly gargoyles. Perfect for the spooky season!

Join our Minni instructor as you learn to craft bath bombs and melt-and-pour soaps, adding vibrant colors and enchanting fragrances to create the perfect witches’ brew. Plus, students will get to design eye-catching packaging for their creations—perfect for gifting or keeping!

Join Minni and CoDesign Collaborative on Tuesday, October 1, from 5-7pm ET for a city-builders workshop. Kids and families will decorate cardboard buildings with donated materials from actual design projects. Kids can add their building to a growing city or take their piece home with them! Coloring sheets are always available so kids of all ages can participate in the making.

In our Minni Family Workshop – City Builders little architects and caregivers will learn all about cities while exploring a variety of multi-sensory 2D and 3D art processes. Join our Minni instructor as we design and construct our own city blocks, explore printmaking, a construction themed sensory station, and enjoy a special book reading. This creative morning of family-friendly fun is not to be missed!

Calling all little designers! Minni and MIT MAD, invite you and your little artist(s) to join our FREE design workshop at the Cambridge Science Fair! Little designers (K–2) will be taken through the entire design process to create and model their very own sci-fi themed fashion wearable. From mood boards to styling, participants will explore colors and materials to assemble imaginative futuristic fashion.

Did someone say sharpies?! Artists ages 8 to 12 are invited to Minni to draw and design on canvas materials with fabric markers, and everyone’s favorite permanent marker! A Minni instructor will inspire students to explore surface design by looking at patterns, graffiti, and artists from the Pop Art movent such as Basquiat and Keith Haring. Join us to design your own one-of-a-kind accessory! Workshop participants will take home a one-of-a-kind pencil case, pencil & sketchbook (up to 2 per participant).

Slime scientists and ice cream lovers will be lining up for this sweet spin on our most popular workshop! Join us at our studio-turned-ice-cream-shop to create creamy concoctions with a Minni instructor! Students will make the most of three different slimey interpretations of everyone’s favorite sweet treat, including swirly soft-serve ice cream and even ice cream cake. Let your little one unleash their inner scientist; we’ll take care of the mess as students enjoy the rest.

In this special family workshop participants will gather to make the most colorful compositions and paint their very own playsilks provided by Sarah's Silks. What are Playsilks? Playsilks are open-ended toys for a creative childhood. An opened-ended toy has multiple uses, encouraging children to imagine, create, and problem solve without limitations are just a few of them. Grab your loved ones and make your own playful playsilk masterpiece! Each registered child will take home one Sarah's Silks playsilk.

In collaboration with local artist Alex Adamo also known as known as AlexMakesArt, artists of all ages can come together to participate in our community weaving project! Alex and the Minni team will provide gentle guidance on how to contribute to our large-scale community weaving using all types of up-cycled materials. Participants will also have the chance to work on their own personal weaving project to take home! Join us for a Sunday of creative fun, no weaving experience necessary!

In this special Community Drop-In participants will first visit Anderson Yezerski Gallery (460 Harrison Ave., A16, open from 11am–1pm) to view Choudhary's playful portraits before heading to the Minni South End studio to take inspiration and create their own imaginary portraits using recycled materials!
