Join us for a fun and festive workshop to kick off summer! A Minni instructor will guide tweens through the process of transforming ordinary seashells into extraordinary works of art.

“Stick” the kids with us for Minni Washi Workshop - Father’s Day Edition, a most cheerful colorful collaboration with renowned Japanese brand MT Washi Tape. Participants ages 4–10 will stick, unstick and play with patterns to create unique graphic designs and one-of-a-kind signs just for dad. A Minni instructor will provide inspiration and support for each little artist as they design their Washi masterpieces.

Get ready to move to the rhythm! In partnership with the Esplanade Association, visit Minni’s table for fun-filled and on theme crafting during the concert. Held at the iconic DCR Hatch Memorial Shell along Boston’s Esplanade for Salsa at the Shell, join us for an unforgettable evening of live Latin music, youth-powered talent, and community celebration.

Join Minni on First Fridays in April + May, for a collaborative community drop-in with local dance studio Urbanity to participate in art-making and dancing! Urbanity will run a 20 min dance class at the top of each hour. This is a great opportunity to tour the Minni South End studio, and learn more about our upcoming Minni x Urbanity Summer Programming. 

In our Minni Family Workshop – Garden Party little gardeners will learn how to plant marigold seeds and paint a terracotta pot with their caregiver. A Minni instructor will commence the garden party with a book reading before guiding participants through the painting and planting process. Playful stations on the side will include printing with petals and a special sensory garden.

In this Family Workshop, participants will have so much farm fun! A Minni instructor will show participants how to work together to create a barn that they will decorate and fill with farm animals! Create cute and cuddly farm animals using a variety of methods and materials. In addition, students will delight in a farm-themed sensory bin. Grab your loved ones and come spend a creative morning on Minni's farm! 

Dive into the vibrant world of mixed media collage and visual storytelling! Tweens are invited to learn the artistic process of using shapes, patterns, and images to plan dynamic compositions, and explore how to translate summer aspirations into a compelling visual narrative.

Minni is excited to be once again participating in this year's Duckling Day celebrations! Hosted by The Friends of the Public Garden, in association with the City of Boston Parks and Recreation Department, Duckling Day is a beloved tradition of more than 30 years, celebrating the classic children's book, "Make Way for Ducklings" by Robert McCloskey.

Spend the day with the ones you love and learn how to create an everlasting flower bouquet with our Minni Family Workshop - Mother's Day Edition! A Minni instructor will guide families through the process of creating, painting, and gluing their own small bouquet of gorgeous up-cycled flowers using egg cartons!

In collaboration with local mosaic tile company Artaic, artists will take upcycling to the next level in this fun mosaic frame workshop! Using post-industrial / pre-consumer remnant material, a Minni instructor will guide students through the process of decorating picture frames or mirrors. Students will work with porcelain and glass mosaic tiles to create something special for themselves, or to gift to someone else!

In our Minni Family Workshop – Blue Hues cool crafting kiddos and their caregivers will learn all about the big blue sky and its many shades and hues. An instructor will guide the group through a variety of activities including the mixing of blue hues, creating wind with watercolors, and fun with fluffy cloud painting!

In our Minni Family Workshop – Earth Day little artists and caregivers will celebrate our planet with playful projects and sensory stations using an array of natural and recycled materials. A Minni instructor will guide participants through a series of planet-friendly activities and a special book reading. Join us for a creative morning of earthy crafting and nature-inspired fun!

Come join us for a fun morning hand-painting planter pots! Artist educators Jaimie & Kate of thecollab will guide little artists through the process of painting terracotta planter pots using acrylic paints. Explore shape, color and texture using a variety of special painting tools and techniques to develop a one-of-a kind work of art!

In our Minni Family Workshop – City Builders little architects and caregivers will learn all about cities while exploring a variety of multi-sensory 2D and 3D art processes. Join our Minni instructor as we design and construct our own city blocks, explore printmaking, a construction themed sensory station, and enjoy a special book reading. This creative morning of family-friendly fun is not to be missed!

Add some April Fool's to your day with our Comic Workshop, an all-call for cartoonists! Bring original heroes and villains to life this time with a silly twist! Students will be guided through the process of storytelling and paneling to the ultimate creation of their own April Fool's Day inspired mini-comics. Each participant will delight in the transformation of simple white boxes into colorful, suspenseful and visual stories.

Roll on down to Minni for a Family Workshop all about things that go! Little engineers and caregivers will design their very own cityscapes and roadways using a variety of 2D and 3D art materials. Students will spend time painting colorful wooden cars to bring their streets to life, and explore all the ways to make art through movement - including painting with cars, train collages, and more!

Ooey gooey fun is a goopy guarantee in this slippery slime session!
