In Minni Family Workshop – Green Gradients caregivers and color lovers will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and every shade of green! Bring your original story to life in our Foldable Zine Workshop with local illustrator Ava Pom! Students will be guided by Ava through the process of folding and illustrating to create their own colorfully inspired mini-book. Each participant will delight in creating a foldable zine into a colorful, suspenseful and visual story. 

In our Minni Family Workshop - Happy Hearts little artists and caregivers will be whisked away by playful projects and sensory stations inspired by Valentine’s Day. A Minni instructor will guide participants through a series of sweet activities, including collaborative heart prints, collaged cards and a special book reading. Join us for a creative morning of happy crafting and happy hearts!

Ages 4–10 “Stick” the kids with us at Minni WashiShop - Valentine’s Edition, a most cheerful and colorful collaboration with renowned Japanese brand MT Washi Tape. We'll explore a suite of sticky properties as little designers ages 4–10 use a veritable rainbow of washi pieces to create unique Valentine’s cards for special loved ones, friends and even classmates!

Little jewelry designers are welcomed to a bracelet adventure all about winding, looping and stringing together unique beaded creations! A Minni instructor will guide participants through the basics of beading with extra special beads provided by our friends, Names for Good.

In Minni Family Workshop – Music Makers little musicians and their caregivers will learn how to create all the sounds of music with repurposed and recycled materials found right in the studio. A Minni instructor will guide students through a series of engaging projects focused on tunes + tones, including drumming canvas paintings to the beat, coloring with jingle bells and creating their own shakers.

Take your little one to the moon and back in Minni Family Workshop – Night Lights, a workshop all about starry winter skies and glistening reflections. A Minni instructor will begin with a reading of Papa, Please Get the Moon For Me by Eric Carle before guiding star gazers through a series of sensory activities.

Join us for a festive workshop where little makers ages 4–10 will craft personalized ornamental frames, colorful characters on wooden spoons, and special handmade lanterns to share with lucky loved ones or proudly display at home. In Minni Gift Workshop, an instructor will guide little gift givers on a mission to make unique handmade gifts for loved ones this holiday season. The workshop will wrap (pun intended) as artists craft their own decorative gift bags and wrapping paper!

Join us for a cozy creative adventure in our Snowy Shelters Workshop! Designed for tweens ages 8 to 12, this fun-filled workshop invites participants to craft their own winter wonderland. Participants will explore the wonders of nature as they use a variety of mixed media to create their own snowy scenes. From model magic snowmen, to glittery snowflakes, and miniature cozy cabins, the sky’s the limit in this seasonal snowy shelter workshop. Join us for an evening of fun and cozy crafting, and of course, pizza!

A Minni instructor will begin with a book reading before guiding students through a selection of icy activities, from creating magical winter wands with sparkling snowflakes to a collaborative soft winter collage. Bundle up and come prepared for our most magical workshop yet.

This is a FREE event funded by the City of Boston Nightlife Economy Department’s grant program.

After setting intentions, little artists will mindfully paint using a variety of tools and a special focus on the process-based approach to watercolor painting. Join us for this relaxing workshop ahead of the busy holiday season!

Join us for a hands-on fiber art adventure at the Boston Athenaeum! Explore soft and textured materials through creative projects and sensory stations, perfect for little hands and big imaginations. This workshop is for children aged 18 months to 5 years alongside their caregivers.

Students will make the most of three different slimy interpretations of everything Halloween, beginning with fluffy pumpkin slime and concluding with a bubbly witches brew. Join us for a spooky take on architecture in this Minni workshop! Students will use an exciting medley of recycled and craft materials to design their own facades complete with towering turrets and ghastly gargoyles. Perfect for the spooky season!
