In collaboration with local artist Alex Adamo also known as known as AlexMakesArt, artists of all ages can come together to participate in our community weaving project! Alex and the Minni team will provide gentle guidance on how to contribute to our large-scale community weaving using all types of upcycled materials. Participants will also have the chance to work on their own personal weaving project to take home! Join us for a Sunday of creative fun, no weaving experience necessary!
Minni Community Drop-Ins are designed for the entire family to enjoy creative play and messy materials in our spacious studio. Rotating themed projects focus on open-ended play, material exploration, and a variety of art processes.
About Alex: Alexandra Adamo, owner of Alex Makes Art, is a Multimedia Artist who is passionate about texture, activating public spaces, and leading creative experiences with intergenerational gathering at the core. Alex was the Lead Artist for the Community Arts Initiative for 2022-23 at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where she brought her exhibition, "From Farm to Table", to life. Alex is working on a new series of sculpture work at her studio in Central Square - in between painting murals and hosting shebangs. Her muse is her English angora rabbit, Rufus, and you may see her rollin' by on her turquoise and cheetah rollerskates with a snack in hand. Catch Alex on social media and keep up with the fun! @alexmakes_art
