Minni PrintShop – Nature Edition (Virtual)

Ages 4–10 

Minni’s private online workshops are designed to keep little ones ages 4–10 creating from the comfort of home. Each themed virtual workshop focuses on skill development, simple repurposed materials and unique ways to engage with our environments. 

In Minni PrintShop – Nature Edition (Virtual) aspiring printers and painters will play with patterns and explore a selection of printmaking techniques using natural materials. Instructor Maria will emphasize pattern, color palette and process as participants explore printmaking methods with objects collected from nature, including shells, leaves and flower petals.

Materials 

• Objects found in nature to print with, such as acorns, sticks, small rocks, leaves, flowers, fruit and shells. We encourage a walk outside before this workshop!  

• Tempera paint or any kind of paint on hand (make homemade paint with 1 part flour, 1 part salt, 1 part water and a few drops of food coloring)

• 1 tray for paint 

• Paint brushes

• A cup of water

• 2 pieces of paper (the larger the better)

• Parchment paper or printer paper 

• A spoon 

Home Studio Set-Up

Be sure to cover your work surface with paper and stock your at-home studio with paper towels and extra trays to easily combat messes.
