Minni Make + Play – Bright Butterflies (Virtual)
Ages 1.5–5
Private Minni Make + Play online workshops are designed to keep little ones ages 1.5–5 creating from the comfort of home. Each themed virtual workshop focuses on skill development, simple repurposed materials and unique ways to engage with our environments.
In Minni Make + Play – Bright Butterflies (Virtual), participants will explore symmetrical patterns and bright colors while creating paper butterflies of their own. Instructor Maria will begin the workshop with a book reading before guiding participants through a series of activities designed to bring a little color into your day.

Tempera paint or any paint on hand (you can also make your own paint with 1 part flour, 1 part salt, 1 part water and a few drops of food coloring)
1–2 coffee filters for the butterfly wings (a paper towel cut into a circle is a great replacement)
2 Q-Tips for applying paint and water (cotton balls, a sponge cut into strips, or paint brushes are great replacements)
Any kind of paint diluted with water to form a milky consistency
Clothespin, pipe cleaner, twist tie – anything to tie in the middle of the filter or paper towel to create two wings!

Home Studio Set-Up
Be sure to cover your work surface with paper and stock your at-home studio with paper towels and extra trays to easily combat messes. We recommend working over a tray or plate for this workshop.
