This month, our space got a lot more fun with the addition of a bold and playful custom mural by thecollab! Read more about the art educators and longtime friends, Jaimie & Kate, who brought this piece to life below.
In their work, thecollab consider themselves creative problem solvers, using color, shape and texture as abstract storytelling tools on a variety of surfaces. They focus on crafting unique, engaging spaces, experiences, and goods that invoke energy, joy, and community.
The duo merges their individual perspectives, styles, and concepts to develop custom design solutions for projects of all types and sizes. Jaimie and Kate create custom murals for clients and paint ‘mini murals’ on home goods, such as planter pots. They believe art and design are essential to the human experience; that public art has the power to connect communities, empower individuals, bring joy to its viewers, and elevate brands. No matter the scale of the project, their process is both structured and intuitive, relying on their ability to successfully weave together their individual visions to complete thoughtful, dynamic artworks.
