Hurley School fundraiser and virtual art workshop 🎨
Calling all artists! We’ve partnered with the Hurley School to offer a virtual art workshop! Create a paper flower with us to celebrate Spring and the blooms of the season. No special art supplies needed. Participants can use a variety of materials found around the house – including newspaper, magazines, and paper.
About Hurley School
The Hurley School is a Spanish-English bilingual K-8 Boston Public School in the South End. The Hurley School serves a racially, ethnically, and economically diverse student population with over seventy percent of our students living in high poverty.
Materials Needed:
Paper to make flowers with, such as tissue paper (recommended), newspaper, magazine pages, printer paper and construction paper
Pipe cleaners (twist-ties + popsicle sticks or straws are great alternatives)
Elmer’s Glue
Paintbrush for glue application
Optional: Ribbon to tie bouquet together!
Optional: Large beads for the middle of the flowers
Date and Time: Friday, April 9, 2021 at 4pm
Cost: A $20 donation to the Hurley School is suggested.
