A Washi Tape Valentine's Day
Believe in Love!
Tell someone you like them with a homemade Valentine’s Day card! This project is for all ages and only requires a few materials. This project can be made easier with precut shapes for toddlers. Make someone smile today with a handwritten card with your little lovebug.
Materials
8.5 x 11 paper (colored paper if you have it on hand)
You can also use cardboard from your recycling
Washi tape (in your favorite colors/patterns)
Scissors
Let’s get started!
Steps
1. Take your 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper and lay it flat on a flat surface. Gather your favorite patterns and colors of washi tape. We love sticking to either warm or cool tones!
2. Add washi tape, using as much or as little as you’d like! Try layering to create unique patterns and colors. Let your little artist try ripping their own strips. Washi tape is much easier to rip than traditional tape.
3. Cut your 8.5 x 11 piece of paper into 6 smaller cards. These are the perfect size for Valentine’s Day cards! You can also precut shapes for your little one using recycled cardboard. Don’t forget to write a sweet message on the back of your Valentine’s Day creations. ❤️
