Valentine's Day Craft
Spread the Love this Valentine's Day
Let’s make something together this Valentine’s Day! This project only requires a few materials and can be made easier for little ones (with fewer hole punches) or more difficult with more yarn and more holes to weave through. Create something sweet with your little cupid today!
Materials
Cardboard (a cereal box works great!)
Hole punch
Scissors
Plastic needle
Yarn in your favorite warm tones!
Let’s get started!
Steps
1. Cut your cardboard piece into a shape of a heart. It’s always easiest to draw a heart with a pencil first so it is symmetrical.
2. Punch holes along the border, leaving about 1/2 to 1/4 inch of room between the hole and the edge of the heart. Use fewer holes for the beginner weaver!
3. Begin with one color and thread the yarn through your plastic needle. Try to cross the length of the heart with each pass.
4. Choose a different color of yarn and repeat!
5. Keep layering to reveal your very own stitched heart!
