Cardboard. Inexpensive, plentiful and for some reason, fascinating for every child…ever. As we turn to the internet for our daily needs, boxes are bound to take over our kitchens and recycling bins. Gather your materials and save your cardboard (and sanity): Here is a creative way to transform this commonplace material into something beautiful.
Cake Sculpture
Get messy, mix your own pastel “frosting” and make a cake!
Mix your “frosting” in a bowl by adding a couple drops of colored paint in some white paint. Our secret to making paint look like frosting? Add some shaving cream and a little bit of craft glue to any kind of paint (we like tempera).
Stack some boxes or just use a single box for a small cake. Frost the cake and decorate with paper shapes, confetti and pom poms.
