Avoid April showers with handmade paper flowers at Minni.

Local artist, paper engineer, and owner of Yeiou Paper Objects Abigail will guide students ages 4–10 through the process of folding and bunching spring flowers using a variety of techniques and colored tissue paper. Students will learn how to craft origami flowers before moving on to making bright paper pom pom blooms, adding contrasting petals and colors along the way. Spring is sure to unfold as program participants make mini gardens of their own.

About Abigail of Yeiou Paper Objects
Abigail grew up in Illinois, folding origami boxes from every available scrap of paper, and spending long hours curating a collection of paper dolls. Now in the Boston area, with a BFA in Graphic Design and Sculpture to reinforce those interests, she creates paper craft projects, kits, and architectural paper sculptures. In the classroom, Abigail cultivates an environment of experimentation and exploration. She hopes that each of her students can see the potential for beauty in the everyday items around them.
