Minni Make + Play – Soft Collages (Virtual)

Ages 1.5–5 

Private Minni Make + Play online workshops are designed to keep little ones ages 1.5–5 creating from the comfort of home. Each themed virtual workshop focuses on skill development, simple repurposed materials and unique ways to engage with our environments.

In Minni Make + Play – Soft Collages (Virtual) participants will get cozy with a variety of soft art materials found at home. Instructor Maria will begin with a book reading before showing students how to use common household items such as cotton balls and cloth to create a tactile and textured work of art. 

Materials 

• Soft materials to collage with, such as cotton balls, cloth shapes, pieces of felt, cotton rounds, pieces of paper towels, pom poms and yarn

• Oil pastels or crayons

• Piece of cardboard or thick paper to collage on 

• Elmer’s Glue (optional: add some color to your glue with watercolor, food coloring or any kind of paint)

• Q-Tip, paint brush or a piece of sponge to apply glue with 

Home Studio Set-Up

Be sure to cover your work surface with paper and stock your at-home studio with paper towels and extra trays to easily combat messes.
