Minni Make + Play – Shape Collages (Virtual)

Ages 1.5–5 

Private Minni Make + Play online workshops are designed to keep little ones ages 1.5–5 creating from the comfort of home. Each themed virtual workshop focuses on skill development, simple repurposed materials and unique ways to engage with our environments.

In Minni Make + Play – Shape Collages (Virtual) participants will explore the shapes and silly structures all around them. Instructor Maria will begin the shape celebration with a book reading before guiding students through a series of activities designed to develop spatial awareness and fine motor skills.

Materials 

• 1 piece of cardboard or thick paper

• Anything in your home resembling a shape, including cardboard + paper shapes, corks, pom poms, cupcake liners and uncooked pasta 

• Oil pastels or crayons 

• Elmer’s Glue

• Small container for glue 

• Q-Tip or sponge for glue application

Home Studio Set-Up

Be sure to cover your work surface with paper and stock your at-home studio with paper towels and extra trays to easily combat messes.
