Minni Make + Play – Cupcake Sculptures (Virtual)

Ages 1.5–5 

Private Minni Make + Play online workshops are designed to keep little ones ages 1.5–5 creating from the comfort of home. Each themed virtual workshop focuses on skill development, simple repurposed materials and unique ways to engage with our environments.

In Minni Make + Play – Cupcake Sculptures (Virtual) little bakers will make a creative sweet treat of their own to celebrate a birthday, event or just another day! Instructor Maria will encourage students to use a variety of soft materials to build colorful cupcake sculptures. 

Materials 

• Cupcake or muffin liner 

• Fabric, cotton balls, cotton rounds, foam and pom poms – anything soft to create a cupcake with! 

• Recycled materials and found objects to decorate cupcakes with, such as yarn pieces, paper shapes and pom poms 

• Elmer’s Glue – we recommend the kind in the squeeze bottle! 

• Optional: Tempera paint, watercolor or food coloring to color your glue! A bowl and spoon will be needed for this. 

• Tray or plate to work on
  

Home Studio Set-Up

Be sure to cover your work surface with paper and stock your at-home studio with paper towels and extra trays to easily combat messes. We recommend working over a tray or plate for this workshop.
