Minni DesignShop - Tiny Houses (Virtual)

Ages 4–10 

Minni’s private online workshops are designed to keep little ones ages 4–10 creating from the comfort of home. Each themed virtual workshop focuses on skill development, simple repurposed materials and unique ways to engage with our environments. 

In Minni DesignShop - Tiny Houses (Virtual) participants will take on the tiny homes trend. Instructor Maria will show budding decorators and designers how recycled and repurposed materials can be transformed into unique furniture, patterned wallpaper and the littlest of light fixtures. Each student will complete a miniature room of their own for display and future play!

Materials 

• 1 box with the front or back cut off or a house-shaped shadow box purchased prior to the workshop

• Colored pencils or oil pastels

• 1 piece of white paper 

• Magazines, old artwork, patterned paper – anything to collage with! 

• Cardboard pieces, blocks, corks, recycled materials – anything to create furniture with!

• Any kind of glue, such as glue sticks or Elmer’s Glue with a Q-Tip or paint brush for application 

• Masking tape 

• Scissors 

Home Studio Set-Up

Be sure to cover your work surface with paper and stock your at-home studio with paper towels and extra trays to easily combat messes.
