A Little Outside My Comfort Zone...

A note from Kelly…

Many of you have probably never met me. I'm actually a bit of an introvert and have never been very comfortable being the face of Minni. I've always wanted it to be much more about our team, our space, and our students.

So I challenged myself a little this fall and took on an adjunct role at Wentworth, teaching industrial design students. It's been outside my comfort zone, but it's also brought me back to one of the reasons I started Minni.

I didn't even know what industrial design was until I was in my mid-20s. Maybe if I'd known about it earlier, I would have taken a different path. Instead I went from undecided student athlete to architecture student to DIY designer to textile entrepreneur, and eventually founder of an art + design education business for kids. This was definitely not a straight line.

I want children to know earlier that creative paths like these exist. Not because they all need to become designers, but because learning to experiment, solve problems and look at things differently is valuable no matter what they end up doing.

Last school year, thanks to our community, Minni was able to provide $10,000 in tuition assistance. This year, we're hoping to help even more kids experience Minni, but we need help to make that happen.

If you're able, I hope you'll consider making a tax-deductible donation to support tuition assistance at Minni. Any amount really does help.

Thank you for supporting Minni and everything we're trying to build.

With gratitude,

kelly + Team Minni
