Origami Mother's Day Craft
Mom’s going to love this.
Let’s make something beautiful with your little artist or for the mother figure in your life! This project only requires a couple of materials and is best for ages 6+. Make Mom’s day and make some heART together!
Materials
Origami paper
Pipe cleaners
Optional: a vase or tumbler for your origami hearts
Let’s get started!
Steps
1. Cut your chosen color of paper into a square. Fold in half each way for creases.
2. Position your square with a corner at the top. Fold the top corner down to your middle crease. Fold the bottom corner down to the top of your piece of paper.
3. Unfold the bottom half and refold one side of the heart to another. Repeat for the other side.
4. Turn the heart over.
5. Fold the 4 corners shown in the picture below.
6. Turn your heart over to reveal your very own origami heart!
7. Add pipe cleaners if you want to make an origami heart bouquet! These origami hearts are also great to adorn a gift box.
