MINNI × URBANITY SUMMER PROGRAM

We are thrilled to partner with Urbanity Dance to offer a summer program where movement, music, and art converge!

Urbanity and Minni have combined forces to offer a full day summer program for little artists ages 4-7 years old and for big kids 6-11 years old.

Urbanity will be hosting movement led sessions for half the day and Minni will provide our tried-and-true summer art programming for the other half. This year, Minni’s program will run out of Little Lovage Club in the South End.

Students will be guided to each studio by a member of staff during the transition to-and-from Minni and Urbanity.

Minni Summer Program at Urbanity offers:

• Weekly art + design + dance programs, Monday–Friday, 9:00am-12:30pm OR 1:00–4:30pm *extended day is offered until 5:30pm

• Enrollment of no more than 16 little artists per session

• Rotating design themes led by teaching artists + professional educators

• Daily movement and outdoor art-making (weather permitting)

About Urbanity:

Urbanity Dance is a nonprofit arts organization in Boston's South End that exists to inspire, engage, and empower individuals and communities through the art of dance and movement.

The School at Urbanity Dance offers high-quality dance training in several styles and genres for over 500 students of all ages and experience levels each year through its three South End studios. The faculty, all from diverse cultural and dance backgrounds, supports each student in their training through a structured, nurturing classroom environment that fosters growth, discipline, and fun. The School’s teaching philosophy aims to teach to the whole dancer and develop students’ emotional, social, and physical well being to become fully empowered individuals.

The Minni Philosophy:
Everything we do will follow Minni’s overarching approach to invention and design, with lessons emphasizing a progression of skills and gently guiding natural exploration through technique and processes. As per the structure of Minni’s class programs, participants will spend some time each day working independently and some time working together as a group. Culminating projects may be individual or a team effort!
