WashiShop - Father's Day Edition
Let’s celebrate dad.
“Stick” the kids with us for Minni WashiShop - Father’s Day Edition, a most cheerful colorful collaboration with renowned Japanese brand MT Washi Tape. Minni Instructor Denise will talk to the idea of lines, color, and repurposed materials as participants ages 4–10 create unique silhouette portraits just for dad. Local paper artist Maria Palkon will free-hand individual silhouettes for each little artist to add to their completed Washi masterpieces. Participants will take home two rolls of washi tape of their choosing in addition to their framed silhouette.
About Denise
Denise Gunter is an artist and educator creating and working in Boston, Massachusetts. Currently residing in the city, Denise originates from North Carolina and a long line of female artists. She earned her MA in Art + Design Education from the Rhode Island School of Design in June of 2018, and her BA in Art Studies from North Carolina State University in 2008. Denise's artwork involves series and explorative pieces in concrete books, printmaking, drawings, and recently, installations.
