Minni at Boston Mini Maker Faire, 2018
We are thrilled to announce that we are participating as a Maker in Boston Mini Maker Faire, taking place October 6–7, 10am–5pm, at Boston Children’s Museum. Maker Faires are community-based learning events and ultimate gatherings of creative doers, where tech enthusiasts, designers, artists, educators, and engineers come to show-and-tell their latest ideas and projects. This year’s featured Makers include Learning Beautiful, Masory Studios, and Massachusetts College of Art Fashion Design Department.
Inspired by our current exhibition Continuous Gradation and sustainable materials, our booth will feature :
+ An interactive woven mural. Faire goers are invited to contribute to a mural made from wood embroidery hoops and from recycled yarn donated by Somerville based Make & Mend.
+ Minni Cross-Stitch Kits. Stop by our booth to check out our first ever craft kit! Each kit features a cross-stitch board made of recycled cardboard, a child-safe needle, and cotton yarn.
+ Minni Materials Drive. Help us collect art supplies by recycling! Fill up the bag provided and return to Minni for a free drop-in class or Creative Play session!
Meet our city’s coolest makers and learn how we incorporate recycled materials into everything we do.
