In this workshop budding decorators and designers ages 6–10 will take on the tiny homes trend as Minni instructor Caroline guides participants through the miniature doors of dollhouses. Students will learn all about basic interior design principles to take control of their own homes as they craft patterned + printed wallpaper, fuzzy rugs, furniture, and even the littlest of light fixtures. Each student will be provided with a pre-made tiny house to decorate and transform into a world of their own.
Caroline is a DC native who has also lived in both New York and Texas, where she studied Elementary Education and received her Montessori training before settling in Cambridge. A lifelong crafter, Caroline has been knitting, crocheting, drawing, and sewing since she was a young child, but loves to experiment with any visual arts medium. She enjoys incorporating visual arts into her classroom, from illustrating stories to mindful weaving practices. When she is not teaching elementary school, Caroline can be found designing her handmade wardrobe or creating toys for her friends. She encourages her students to take risks and use art as a form of expression.
